GLGBishop Gregg Le’vante Greer or also known as Amir Al-Hakim Shakur is a Public Speaker, Minister, American Journalist, Filmmaker, Record Producer, Author, Economist and Social Scientist. Greer is the Founder of Freedom First International a international human rights NGO, Greer also is the Founder of Black America World News. As prominent national civil rights leader Greer is a Leader with the United Nations League of Nations Faith Assemblies Consortium. LON’FAC as well as a Global Citizen. 


Greer has lectured on global diversity, establishing social and civic engagement, the history of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Human Rights, Aids (HIV) in communities, American Practical Government Leadership, social activism, youth in America, and the African-American Experience, among other topics. Greer has addressed conferences, universities and religious institutions across Urban America. Greer is a specialist in Criminal Justice, Restorative Justice, Organizational Leadership and Victim Advocacy.  Greer has advocated for some of the biggest civil rights cases in America including the Tamir Rice Case, Alton Sterling, Semaj Crosby, and the George Stinney Jr. Case.


As an internally renown journalist, Greer He hosts the nationally syndicated radio show One World Talks with Gregg L. Greer and is a contributor for The Huffington Post. He is also the founder of Black America World News  and a correspondent and political commentator for Apolitical America a faith based social political commentary.  Also you can hear Greer around the country on Soul Uprising with Bishop Gregg L.Greer, a national syndicated Talk Show which features guest news and inspirational commentary from around the world. Publication5 Career and Organizations


Greer is the founder of four non-profit organizations including The Guilty in Innocence Project, of which he is president. In 2010, he founded the Freedom First International (pic, above), a non-governmental organization (NGO) working for alternatives to combat racial hate and promoting world peace. He founded and is currently working on The League of Nations, an international  advocacy group for justice. In 2007, he founded Urban Christian Leadership Institute, a national NGO dedicated to “building and developing strong leadership-keeping the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. alive.


His first book, FIGHTING FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND SOCIAL JUSTICE, will be released in late fall 2021. (See Bio Page)

 Greer began his foray into entertainment and film production in Los Angeles in 1991 when he founded Storm Entertainment Studios working out of Hollywood Recording studios then shortly afterward relocating  back to Chicago-To work with local Music acts.

Greer Become a producer at Chicago Access Network Cable TV which lead to Greer’s newest venture- One World Transatlantic Global Media produces, distributes, and sells advertising for independent productions/distributor of first-run syndicated programming for broadcast television and cable globally.

His company also made its first foray into scripted programming, by co-producing and Writing-The Chicago Way 2017 a documentary film mostly about his and other affiliated activist-Fight with Chicago Violence(promo. below) The Film premiered at the Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert Film Festival to rave reviews.



The Black America World News Associated Network was started by  Greer due to his journalistic and social activism activity. Greer is the Founder of Freedom First International and a prominent national civil rights leader. Greer wanted to set up an alternative Radio/ TV Network to reach the masses.

Greer’s media career began when he started blogging in junior college which lead to journalism jobs and eventually left his corporate job pursue activism and journalism full time.

After blogging for over ten years- Huffington Post creator Arianna Huffington personally made Greer a contributor to the Huffington Post. Greer then Founded Black America World News. His stories have also appeared in The Huffington Post, CNN, Daily Kos and others.

As a Social and Criminal Justice Commentator and Investigative Journalist-Greer appears on Radio and TV around the country.

Greer owns the Independent Radio and TV network- One World Transatlantic Global Media, Which includes-The Owl 1886 Radio Station. Greer has written extensively about American politics, civil rights, and the intersection of money and politics. Also, Greer is a contributor on MSNBC online. Greer writes commentary on Apolitical America, Huffington Post, and others.

The Chicago Way

 Gregg L Greer and Tio Hardiman and a group of dedicated untouchables are Community Organizer leaders of their coalition, in addition, they are key leaders in the Chicago Social Justice Movement. Both individually and as a team-they are fed up with the rampant political corruption, police brutality and community violence.

The Chicago Way-documents the story of those who try to protect their Chicago communities from the violence.

Book Release 2020

The Book Truth, Justice and the American Way is a memoir collection written by Author Civil Rights Leader Gregg L Greer, The Book contains messages in the form of articles from and a powerful plea to end ongoing conflict. The book will be published by One World Books.

 Also Fighting for Human Rights and Social Justice in 2021.

Greer was educated mostly in the Chicago, IL Area,  He worked toward earning his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Governors State University and is currently pursuing a MDIV/PHD in Theological Studies. 

Greer is a Trained (Certified) Expert in Criminal Justice with additional training in communications, interview and non-confrontational interrogations. Greer as having spent time in the U.S Military
